Mohale Orphan Support Association

Family To Family Sponsorship Program

Children living with HIV in Lesotho are especially vulnerable in the rural villages where food is scarce and many have already been orphaned, surviving on their own or by the charity of neighbors and extended family.  We have set up the family-to-family sponsorship program to assist selected orphans and vulnerable children who are currently receiving treatment for HIV/AIDS at Mohale Clinic by providing them with food, vitamins and supplements, and warm winter clothing or school uniforms, depending on their need.

Your support of as little as $20/month could save a life—fighting against HIV is a difficult battle for a small child who is already struggling to eat and stay warm without the care of a loving parent.  You will receive information and photos of your child with regular updates.

If you are interested in helping one of these little ones through a monthly or one-time donation to the M.O.S.A. Childrens HIV/AIDS Fund, please contact Belinda: Belinda@aidforkids.org or follow this link to make a donation through Paypal.

Thato, age 9, had been receiving antiretroviral treatment for 3 years before the virus took her life in December, 2009.  The family-to-family sponsorship program has been started in her memory to prevent more early deaths of children infected with HIV.

The M.O.S.A. Project is sponsored by Aid For Kids,
a 501(c)3 charity licensed in Maine and approved by
the Combined Federal Campaign.  Donations are
tax-deductible.
